Trip to Ireland

In April we, thirty-two students from the first and second year flew for a week-long trip to beautiful Ireland.

On the first day we visited Dublin for a few hours and our next stop was Galway. There we lived with host families. We attended a language school for ESL students, which was located in a renovated a mill. Our teachers were very amiable, which made the atmosphere of the school really nice. During the lessons we found out many interesting facts about Ireland, learnt some Irish slang words and practiced phrasal verbs. After classes, we always had an interesting program, which included a visit of their national park Connemara, Galway museum, Cliffs of Moher. We also attended an Irish dance class, participated in a town treasure hunt, and competed in archery and race through a maze. I can say that everyone was astonished by the beauty of Ireland which was shown, for example, at the Cliffs of Moher or in the Irish countryside. During our stay in Galway, we also uncovered the charm of this town.  Some of us visited the local beaches, some went on a walk through Galway’s streets and some frequented local eateries. We enjoyed our time as much as we could and left with unforgettable memories.

Náš týždňový výlet do Írska sa uskutočnil v apríli. Prileteli sme do Dublina, kde sme ostali niekoľko hodín obdivovaním pamätihodností.
